Welcome Baby Madalyn! Hospital session

Melissa & Brandon are Married!! Savannah, GA

You’ve seen Lindsay and Kris for their engagement pictures and now…Lindsay and Kris tied the Knot on June 12!!! An outside GA wedding in June, need I say more….IT WAS HOT!!! Regardless of the heat, the wedding was beautiful and we were able to get lots of fun pictures. Their wedding was held at an amazingly beautiful Mill Creek in Homer, GA. It was a perfect location for a wedding, especially for the two of them. The love they have for each other is breathtaking and nothing, not even the heat, was going to bring them down from cloud nine. The two decided to see each other before the ceremony and do all of their pictures before hand (which by the way photographers love!). Kris was escorted by two bridesmaids from the car all the way to his beautiful bride. After about 15 minutes we continued with the rest of the pictures. Their ceremony was short and sweet. After a beautiful ceremony, they had a high energy BBQ reception with lots of dancing and fun! Congratulations Kris and Lindsay!!

Stay tuned for Kris and Lindsay’s “after session.”
These are awesome! I love the one of her on the car!
Bianca!
Thank you for the sweet blurb before the pictures! We’re so thankful and blessed to have found you for the most important part of our very special day!
Love, oh sweet Love! Coley and Jon’s wedding was not only beautiful in appearance, but even more beautiful with all of the love that was invested by all who participated. Jon and Coley honored their family members that weren’t able to be there for their special day with memorial candles, picture, and bouquet. Every detail of this wedding had meaning; even down to the color. Coley chose the color peach because it was her grandmother’s favorite color. During the ceremony Coley surprised Jon by singing to him after they lit the Unity candle. She sang “Let it be Me”. I had never heard that song until that moment, and it was beautiful. The love and passion that these two have for each other is priceless and absolutely beautiful. Congratulations Jon and Coley!

I have to take a moment and commend all of the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen for stepping up after the wedding and helping the family clean up. I’ve been to many weddings and I have to say you guys did a great job being there for both the couple and their families. Great job!

Their reception was held at the newly built Gate Cottage on the Campus of Toccoa Falls College. This new building is BEAUTIFUL!!! Absolutely perfect for a wedding reception.

All the beautiful floral arrangements were made my Megan McAvoy with K&M Handcrafts (visit their facebook fan page).

The amazing and beautiful cakes were made by Elizabeth from EB Cakes! Great job as always Elizabeth!

After Jon and Coley left the reception, we were able to meet back up with this beautiful couple to do some more fun and intimate pictures. I just LOVE it when the bride and groom want to do pictures after the reception. There is no rush to get anywhere. They feel so much more relaxed and are able to enjoy each other while I capture every second of it!

I LOVE this Bianca!! You completely captured the moment! You did exactly what I wanted…you took pictures that let our story unfold! Thank you so much for all of the hard work you have done! You are amazing!
Coley you are so welcome! I had the best time at your wedding! thank you for allowing me to capture such a beautiful time in your life! Congratulations!
Time sure does fly when you are having fun. And that is how I would sum up the last five years…FUN! Yes, we’ve had hard times, but God has blessed us with many more good times! To celebrate our 5th anniversary we took a cruise to The Bahamas. If you have never been on a cruise, I completely recommend it. It was so relaxing and so much fun. Honestly, I came home spoiled and ready to hop on the next cruise ship available. However, I’m back in the “real” world and ready to have fun doing this summer’s weddings and many family sessions. But first I wanted to share some fun pictures from our trip.
Our Cruise ship: Carnival Fascination

We went to the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island where we had the amazing opportunity to swim with the dolphins. I caught the dolphin as she was jumping up to entertain us! I say it’s my post card picture!>

All dressed up for the cruises formal dinner night! And thank you to our new friends, Ashley and Jason, whom we met on the ship and were so kind to take all of the pictures that have both me and my hubby Jason in them!

While we were in Freeport, Bahamas we visited Lucaya Beach and took anniversary pictures together! Yes, this is my original wedding dress! We had so much fun doing pictures. The first picture of myself is my FAV!! Thanks again to Ashley for taking the pictures of Jason and I!

Our last Cruise sunset…at least until our next trip!!
The Grand Bahamas
In February, I had the pleasure of meeting back up with Simon and Heather for an after session. Their wedding day was very wet, so we decided to meet a couple weeks later at Stone Mountain Park to do some fun pictures. Funny thing was there was no rain, but there was 1-2 inches of snow on the ground and it was freezing!!! Despite the cold, we had a blast. Here are a few from that session.

2009 has come and gone, but not without leaving some great memories to carry along with me. It was a very busy year with a lot of new experiences. I wanted to post a few pictures of what 2009 brought to the table, but it was so hard to narrow down to just a few. So here is my MEGA blog of the year and even still there are so many more I would love to post. Here are some of my personal favorites captured in 2009. Hope you enjoy! And don’t be afraid to leave some feedback at the end of this entry!

2009 was great and I am looking forward to an amazing 2010!!!
Jon and Margaret-Ann had a very eventful wedding day. They got married about a year ago in Atlanta, on the day of all the tornados. As you can imagine, the weather was NOT picture perfect. The two of them told me story after story about different things that happened to them on their wedding day. Pictures on the other hand did not happen. At least not as many as they would have liked. Margaret-Ann found out about us through a co-worker, and decided that they would like to recapture what they missed on their wedding day by doing an “After Session.” We started off at Toccoa Falls where Margaret-Ann went to college and ventured to several different locations in the area. Congratulations on making it 1 year. May God bless you both with many more!

Many have asked me what does a “Trash the Dress” session mean. Well I am going to give you the definition that I found on Google. “Trash the dress refers to photography that contrasts elegant clothing with an environment in which it is out of place.” So pretty much NOT your traditional bridal portraits! Before Courtney and Brad’s wedding back in September, I asked Courtney if she wanted to do a Bridal session before the wedding. She said no, but she would rather do some “Trash the Dress” (TTD) pictures after the wedding. Yay!!! I was so excited and couldn’t wait to do this session with the two of them. We visited several areas in the Stephens county area including Panther Creek, Toccoa Airport, Henderson Falls park, and Toccoa Falls. We had an absolute blast during this session. Thank you Brad and Courtney for such a fun session!

Courtney was a bride that I have been dreaming about! One that would be willing to get into water with her wedding dress on! If it were summer I am sure we would have done a lot more and probably gotten even more wet. However, it was the beginning of November and the water was FREEZING!!! Way to go Courtney!!

This is very beautiful and pretty!!
The pictures look great! Are they almost ready?!?
Im excited to see them, yay!
