Miniature Signs in Dahlonega Georgia

This weekend we photographed a wedding in Dawsonville, Georgia. We stayed over night at a hotel in Dahlonega which is a short drive from the wedding venue (Christ Fellowship Church in Dawsonville). While we were driving through Dahlonega, Bianca and I could not help but notice all of the miniature business signs. Most notably, I think, was the tri-billboard stand at one of the street corners. The billboards were so small that the platform used for re-surfacing the billboards dwarfed the billboard message and blocked a large part of it while passing by on the road.

For those that are curious, it is a city ordinance that requires the business signs to be so small. In fact, a new ordinance past that requires the signs to be even smaller. The Holiday Inn Express, where we resided, is required to replace their tiny sign with one that is half its current size!

The Home Depot sign, and others, looked like 1/4 scale replicas of their larger siblings commonly found in other areas around the United States. Very Cute!

Ironically, their road signage appeared abnormally large for the size of the roads we traveled on.
